To translate policy into practice, we engage with policy and opinion leaders through research, pilot projects and advocacy. Civil society organizations have been an integral part of the Global Compact since its creation. Their perspectives, expertise and partnership-building capabilities are indispensable in the evolution and impact of the Global Compact. The Transparency of Lobbying, Non-party Campaigning and Trade Union Administration Act 2014 comes into force today, which limits the amount charities can spend on campaigning in the lead-up to the general election.
