Coastal Conversation

"Human impacts, coupled with global climate change are placing increased pressures on coastal environments. During the last three decades, in response to the growing problems of coastal zones, many countries have introduced Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) as a mechanism to effectively manage the coastal zone and the conflicts of interest arise from competition for coastal space and resources. However many ICZM schemes in the developing countries have failed at the implementation stage as a result of inadequate institutional and management capacity, as well as a lack of decentralization for the community in implementing local integrated coastal management. Hence, decentralization of ICZM is necessary to deal with the extensive geographical problems and the tremendous social and cultural diversity of communities… Hossam Samir Ibrahim, DECENTRALIZATION IN THE EGYPTIAN COASTAL MANAGEMENT Journal of Coastal Conservation is one of few leading journals published by OMICS Group, that deals with solid waste. It publishes scientific research papers in the form of research articles, reviews and case reports. The Editorial Board of the journal includes eminent personalities from the field of coastal conservation, who are involved in the regular review and editing of the submitted papers, insuring the high quality and originality of contents. With the newly launched OMICS Translation Services that is equipped with professional translators who only translate into their mother tongue and guarantee the best exchange of knowledge across linguistic borders, authors from the field of coastal development, coastal management and coastal conservation now have to opportunity to share their valuable research from their native language to English or from English to other international languages including French, German and Spanish."
