Gyres

Gyres circle huge areas found in the middle of the ocean. Unlike coastal zones, these central regions are relatively stable; the ocean water stays in one place and does not circulate. The force of the Earth's wind patterns creates ocean surface currents. Gyres are caused by the Coriolis Effect; planetary vorticity along with horizontal and vertical friction, which determine the circulation patterns from the wind curl (torque). The Coriolis effect also has an influence on ocean currents. The Coriolis effect is a force created by the rotation of the Earth. The force deflects the direction of the ocean current at a 45-degree angle. This deflection pushes the ocean currents into a clockwise motion in the Northern Hemisphere. In the Southern Hemisphere, the ocean currents are pushed into a counterclockwise motion. A journal is a periodical publication intended to further progress of science, usually by reporting new research. Most journals are highly specialized, although some of the oldest journals publish articles, reviews, editorials, short communications, letters, and scientific papers across a wide range of scientific fields. Journals contain articles that peer reviewed, in an attempt to ensure that articles meet the journal's standards of quality, and scientific validity. Each such journal article becomes part of the permanent scientific record. Journal of Vortex Science and Technology is the most counted journal in Gyres . The journal follows a stringent peer-review process that aims to improve the overall quality of the published content and attracting more number of citations. In collaborative efforts, the journal is focusing on Gravitation, Wireless and Teslas Transmission, Environmental monitoring etc. The OMICS International handles over 350 titles at present, which also broadly include Open Access journals on Life Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Management and Engineering Sciences which are beneficial to both scholars and students. With the growing number of scientific enthusiasts and readers by a large margin, the efficacy of open access publishing has witnessed an assertive impact. Journal of Vortex Science and Technology is known for its best articles on gyres. As a scientific organization, the OMICS International carries the vision to present the authentic free-to-view scientific literature to the scientific community.
