About 20%-30% of patients with acute pancreatitis have a severe disease and mortality rate among inpatients were 15%. There are many causes of Acute Pancreatitis (AP), but most common cause of AP is an alcohol. In Mongolia, relatively young men suffer from alcohol-induced pancreatitis. Factors contributing to the development of necrosis in acute pancreatitis include alcohol abuse, prolonged alcohol use, delayed hospitalization, and delayed treatment. In our study, following clinical signs and laboratory findings are effective in distinguishing severe forms of acute necrotizing pancreatitis, early diagnosis, and assessment of prognosis. Laboratory tests parameters include of new recording system: increase in white blood cells, procalcitonin, serum amylase, serum LDH, serum lipase, C-reactive protein and a decrease in hematocrit, serum calcium.

Introduction: Colorectal cancer the second most lethal malignancy widely considered a disease that affects people after the 4th decade of life but an interesting change in trend is observed and it was found that colorectal cancer rate has been increasing in young patients living under their 4th decade. These patients even present with more advanced diseases and generally have a poor overall prognosis compared to the older patients.
Materials and methods: Colorectal cancer patients presented in Sindh Institute of urology and transplantation’s Oncology center from January 2011 till December 2020 were reviewed retrospectively. For data analysis, all patients were divided into two groups, Group A young age population (age between 18-50 years) Group B old age population (age 51 years and onward).
Subgroup analysis of the study period (from January 2011 – December 2015 first period while from January 2016 – December 2020 second period) was performed to check the progressive change in the trend of stage and clinical characteristics of colorectal cancer in young and old patients. Details were reviewed from the patient’s files and all data was collected as per the Proforma requirement. Collected data was analyzed for results using SPSS version 23.0.
Results: Total of 612 patients with colorectal cancer presented between 2011 till 2020. Among these patients 243 (39.7%) presented between January 2011 till December 2015. Patients age 50 years and younger were 410 (66.8%).
Results showed a statistically significant association between patient age and tumor characteristics (histopathology and tumor differentiation). When data was analyzed over different study periods results showed that there is a statistically significant association between tumor differentiation and patient age. A change in the trend of clinical stage of the tumor with respect to patient age over this period of time was also noted.
Conclusion: The development and implementation of screening protocols and awareness programs will definitely have an impact to control disease incidence, patient prognosis, and survival outcome.
According to the European Cancer Information System (ECIS) female breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed malignancy. More than 335,000 women in the European Union are considered to be diagnosed with breast cancer in 2020 which is 13.3% of all cancer diagnoses in both genders and 28.7% among the cancer diagnoses in women. The mortality rate is 7.3% being the third leading cause of cancer death for both genders after lung and colorectal cancer. Increased incidence rates are estimated in the Nordic countries. In the United States around 268,000 cases of invasive breast cancer and 48,100 cases of ductal carcinoma in situ were estimated to be diagnosed among US women in 2019 and 41,760 of them to die.

In a prospective plastic surgery database, the measurements of the breasts of consecutive women who were being evaluated for breast plastic surgery but had not had any prior breast surgery were recorded. Surgery patients who are on dialysis are in a high-risk category. The results of major thoracic surgical procedures in dialysis patients have only been studied in a small number of studies. In patients receiving haemodialysis, we assessed the results of pulmonary resection for non-small cell lung cancer .Surgery involving dialysis patients is a high-risk situation that calls for meticulous postoperative management. Patients on dialysis are frequently not deemed eligible for major surgical procedures due to their higher risk of perioperative problems linked with electrolyte imbalance, haemorrhage, infection, and hemodynamic instability. Due to this, only a small number of studies have assessed the results of major thoracic surgical procedures in patients who are receiving dialysis for chronic kidney disease .This study's objective was to assess the postoperative results of pulmonary resection for non-small cell lung cancer in patients who are receiving haemodialysis because of chronic kidney disease in terms of complications and survival.

Context and objective: The production of ceramide-1-phosphate, which is catalysed by ceramide kinase (CerK), may influence a number of cellular processes, including inflammation and cell division. Here, we looked at how the newly created CerK inhibitor NVP-231 affected the viability and proliferation of cancer cells, as well as the function of cell cycle regulators linked to these reactions.
Experimental methodology: Gradually increasing concentrations of NVP-231 were applied to the lung cancer cell line NCI-H358 and the breast cancer cell line MCF-7 in order to measure DNA synthesis, colony formation, and cell death. The cell cycle distribution of the cells was analyzed using flow cytometry, and alterations in the expression and activation of cell cycle regulators were found using Western blot analysis.
Important findings: NVP-231 decreased DNA synthesis, colony formation, and cell survival in both cell lines in a concentration-dependent manner. Additionally, it caused apoptosis, as seen by elevated caspase-3 and caspase-9 cleavage and DNA fragmentation. NVP-231 reduced the proportion of cells in the S phase and caused an M phase arrest with an elevated mitotic index, as shown by increased histone H3 phosphorylation, according to cell cycle analysis. When staurosporine was added to NVP-231 therapy, the impact on the cell cycle became even more noticeable. Lastly, siRNA-induced down-regulation of CerK sensitized cells to staurosporine-induced apoptosis, although overexpression of CerK protected against this process.
Conclusions and significance: our findings reveal for the first time the critical function that CerK plays in the regulation of the M phase in cancer cells. We propose that CerK be specifically inhibited, with the use of medications like NVP-231, in conjunction with standard pro-apoptotic treatment.

The definition of "sentinel" lymph nodes today has found wide application in clinical practice for complex examination and treatment of patients with cancer of the uterine body. Further research in this direction will help to optimize intraoperative staging of tumors. They will also allow avoiding extended surgeries and limiting themselves only to the removal of sentinel lymph nodes in the early stages of the disease. And vice versa, to expand the scope of the operation if lymphogenous metastases are detected outside the zone removed by standard lymph node dissection. The definition of SLN is sufficient to identify patients at high risk of recurrent EC and to plan adjuvant therapy.

During the period from 2018 to 2020, hysteroresectoscopy was performed on 87 patients of late reproductive, pre- and postmenopausal age. The entire scope of examination, treatment and follow-up of patients before and after ablation was performed in the conditions of the NOVAMED Polyvalent Hospital. Indications for endometrial ablation are benign endometrial diseases, precancer and initial cancer of the uterine body (stage Ia) in patients of pre- and postmenopausal age with ineffectiveness, resistance, or contraindications to hormone therapy or radical surgical treatment due to pronounced extragenital. The results of the study allow us to recommend endometrial ablation as an alternative to classical methods of treatment (hormone therapy and extirpation of the uterus with appendages) in patients with atypical hyperplasia and initial endometrial cancer (Ia stage)
