International Journal of Emergency Mental Health and Human Resilience is the best open access journal in Psychological trauma. All published articles are permanently archived and available at OMICS Group website in HTML, Digital, Audio and PDF formats. All the submitted papers undergo a stringent peer-review process that aims to improve and maintain the International standards both in terms of novelty and content. Psychological traumatic events are powerful and upsetting incidents that intrude into daily life. It involves a singular experience or enduring event or events that completely overwhelm the individual's ability to cope or integrate the ideas and emotions involved with that experience. Psychological trauma is not the event that determines whether something is traumatic to someone, but the individual's experience of the event. A number of psychotherapy approaches have been designed with the treatment of Psychological trauma -EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Biofeedback and Internal Family Systems Therapy and Sensorimotor psychotherapy.
