Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy is a general term for treating mental health problems by talking with a psychiatrist, psychologist or other mental health provider. Psychotherapy helps an individual learn how to take control of his life and respond to challenging situations with healthy coping skills. There are many specific types of Psychotherapy, each with its own approach. The type of Psychotherapy that's right for an individual depends on that individual situation. Psychotherapy is also known as talk therapy, counseling, psychosocial therapy or, simply, therapy. International Journal of Emergency Mental Health and Human Resilience is one of the leading journals in Psychotherapy. The journal presents an education series providing updates relevant to emergency mental health, as well as, an ongoing annotated research review of relevant papers published elsewhere thus making the Journal a unique and even more valuable reference resource.
