Public Money

Money which has been collected by public mainly through taxation is known as public money. Public money management stands for all money that is in the custody or control of the Commonwealth or any person acting on behalf of the Commonwealth in respect of the custody or control of the money. It includes, but is not limited to, departmental funds, administered moneys and moneys held in a special account. Management of public money depends on its spending business which includes- procuring property (including goods) and services, sponsorship arrangements, hire of consultants and contractors, intra-departmental transactions etc. Peer review refers to the work done during the screening of submitted manuscripts and funding applications.
