Presently working as Head of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Unit 4, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Christian Medical College and Hospital, Vellore, South India. This Institution is one of the largest tertiary care centres in South India, catering to 7000 patients per day, overall, in the outpatient department, and having nearly 45 to 50 childbirths per day. Being an under graduate and postgraduate from this same Institution, I have learnt both the science and art of the subject. Besides undergraduate and post graduate teaching, I have been Secretary and President of the Vellore Obstetric and Gynecologic Society, which in turn, is a member of the Federation of the Obstetrics and Gynecologists of India. I am a Master Trainer of the Emergency Obstetric Care(EmOC) group in Christian Medical College and Hospital, affiliated with the WHOand have participated in nearly 20 training sessions and follow up. I have contributed as Technical Consultant of the WHO towards the Postpartum Guidelines and Adolescent Care.
