|International Journal of Sensor Networks and Data Communications is one of the top journals in Face recognition. It publishes the original research and reviews on applied research and applications of sensor networks. A large number of important applications depend on sensor networks interfacing with the real world. These applications include medical, military, manufacturing, transportation, safety and environmental planning systems.
Face recognition is comparing the captured face to other faces that have been saved and stored in a database. The face recognition phase determines the match-likelihood of each face to a template element from a database. The face recognition algorithm yields one of a few potential results for each face candidate determined (1) not a face, (2) a face, but not in the database, and (3) a face and in the database. In face recognition, face is processed and matched bitwise with the underlying face image in the database. Any slight change in facial expression, e.g. smile, lip movement, will not match the face.
