"Chemical Sciences journal is one of the top Open- Access journals in Green Chemistry. The journal provides a unique forum for the publication of original and significant research that is likely to be of wide general appeal. All articles published in the Journal are permanently available online immediately on publication to anyone, anywhere, at any time.
Green chemistry is the most fundamental approach for preventing pollution. It encourages innovations and promotes products that are environmentally and economically sustainable. The Pollution Prevention Act of 1990 legislation has given birth to today's green chemistry initiatives. In nature, green chemistry is cleaner, cheaper and smarter and it prevents pollution at molecular level. By definition, it is a philosophy of chemical research and engineering that encourages the design of products and processes that minimize the use and generation of hazardous substances. In traditional chemistry, we use large quantity of starting material to get the final product and discard most of it as waste. The theme of green chemistry is to maximize the incorporation of the starting materials or reagents into the final product and also to develop a method that synthesizes a needed product by putting together basic building blocks (at molecular level), rather than by breaking down a larger starting material. âSatinder Kaur Brar, Green Chemistry: Design of Safer Chemical and Process Protocols for Healthy Environmentâ.
OMICS publishes original scientific and specialized articles on all aspects of Chemitry, and related scientific disciplines. Also provides the researchers and students descriptions of new experimental methods of chemicals, or new interpretations of existing result.
