Biosensors Journal is the best open access journal on immobilization of biomolecules. All published articles are permanently archived and available at OMICS Group website in HTML, Digital, Audio and PDF formats. All the submitted papers undergo a stringent peer-review process that aims to improve and maintain the International standards both in terms of novelty and content.
Bio-immobilization and bio-conjugation is the purposeful manipulation of a biomolecules mobility by chemical or physical means to obtain a desired property. Immobilization of biomolecules allows exploiting characteristics of the molecule under controlled environments.
Many researchers have focused on the immobilization of inorganic nanoparticles with biomolecules such as lipids, saccharides, peptides, proteins and nucleic acids. These surface-modified nanoparticles have been examined for their uses as new tools not only for the investigation of biological processes but also for sensing and treating diseases. It is clear from the literature that such immobilization is very effective and user-friendly. Moreover, experimental results demonstrate that inorganic nanoparticles can be used for MR imaging, drug delivery and targeting of cancer cells after biomolecules are immobilized on their surfaces.
OMICS Group publishes the best open access journals and offers free access to quality and original research work to the scholarly community. OMICS Group International through its Open Access Initiative is committed to make genuine and reliable contributions to the scientific community. OMICS Group hosts over 700+ peer-reviewed journals and organize over 3000+ International Scientific Conferences annually all over the world. Biosensors Journal of OMICS International provides an ongoing continuing education series providing topical reviews and updates relevant to the applications and emerging trends of immobilization of biomolecules.
