Pediatric surgery is the surgical subspecialty that covers every surgical aspect of population involving the surgery of fetuses, infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. Many pediatric surgeons practice at children's hospitals. A pediatric surgery includes hepatic resections and resections of choledochal cysts in addition to removing lung tumors and repairing chest wall abnormalities.
