Psychological Debriefing

Psychological debriefing is the most often used preventive measure, partly because of the relative ease with which this treatment can be given to individuals directly following an event. Psychological debriefing consists of interviews that are meant to allow individuals to directly confront the event and share their feelings with the counselor and to help structure their memories of the event. However, research has revealed that Psychological debriefing does not help trauma survivors, and it might even hurt them. International Journal of Emergency Mental Health and Human Resilience is one of the best Open Access journals on Psychological debriefing. Open Access journals are the major sources of knowledge for young and aspiring generations who are keen to pursue a career in science. All the articles published in the journal are Open Access serving as a means of accelerating scientific discovery by providing free and unrestricted access of scientific knowledge through the Internet.
