Psychosocial rehabilitation, also known as, Psychiatric rehabilitation and sometimes simplified to psych rehab, is the process of restoration of community functioning and well-being of an individual diagnosed with a mental disorder and who may be considered to have a psychiatric disability. The target of Psychosocial rehabilitation is the psychosocial risk factors leading to the development and maintenance of social disability related to mental disorders. Psychosocial rehabilitation practitioners convey hope and respect, and make individuals believe that they have the capacity for learning and growth.
