International Journal of Sensor Networks and Data Communications is one of the top Traffic monitoring journals of OMICS International. The journal helps to gather all the relevant information on sensor networks applications in medical, military, manufacturing, transportation, safety and environmental planning systems.
With the advancement of wireless sensor networks, new vistas have opened for a wide range of application domains. One of the most important applications is traffic monitoring. A novel wireless vehicle monitoring system that is able to detect, classify and determine the direction of travel of vehicles on a two-lane road is proposed. Each vehicle detection node features multiple sensors including magnetometer, accelerometer, infrared and acoustic microphone with a two-node structure for traffic monitoring. The results show that the system was capable of classifying the vehicle type (using vehicle weight) and their directional of travel with high accuracy.
OMICS Group International is one of the leading Open Access Publishers, which has around 700+ peer-reviewed journals, 50,000+ editorial board members, and highly qualified, expert reviewers to meet the objectives of the peer-review Process. International Journal of Sensor Networks and Data Communications provide a platform for outstanding research around the globe in the field of networking. The articles of the journal aim to contribute to the progress and application of scientific discoveries, by providing free access to the research information.
